Affected by the coronavirus pandemic, since April 2020, the Confucius Institute at University of Cape Coast (CIUCC) began to carry out online teaching activities, and all cultural activities have also been transformed into online cultural activities.
In order to improve students’ ability of writing Chinese characters and appreciating Chinese literature, CIUCC held an online Chinese characters writing competition.
Students were given the option to choose a poem they liked or write their own articles, be it a poem or an essay of their choosing.
Over 50 entries were submitted and after thorough evaluation, one first prize, four second prizes and six third prizes were finally awarded.
