On March 9, 2023, a delegation from the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast paid a visit to KEDA Ghana Ceramics Co.Ltd. The delegation was composed of Prof. OU Yamei, the China Director, Prof. Ishmael Mensah, the Ghana Director, and three other Chinese language teachers. KEDA Ghana Ceramics Co. Ltd. one of the earliest teaching centers of the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast, has a first-class work attitude and places great importance on Chinese language and culture learning. The company uses Chinese language learning and the effectiveness of employees as standards for evaluating workers’ performance, promotion, and salary increase. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the current situation of Chinese teaching, measures to enhance workers’ attitudes towards learning the Chinese language, and cultural exchange. Mr. Li Wei, General Manager of KEDA Ghana Ceramics Co. Ltd. expressed his interest in welcoming broader cooperation between the two sides and promised to fully support the teaching, cultural activities, and brand building of the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast.
