On the 6th of February 2021, the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast (CIUCC) successfully held the first HSK Examination for the year 2021. A total number of 68 candidates participated in HSK levels 1 to 5 Examinations.To ensure that the examination was successful, the Confucius Institute made full preparations before, during and after the examination. In order to help candidates to attain good examination scores, tutorials and mock exams were organized for them prior to the exams.
Appropriate measures were put in place to help prevent and control the COVID-19 Pandemic, during the exams. All staff of CIUCC and students were required to adhere to strict COVID-19 rules and regulations such as; wearing of nose masks, checking of temperatures ,sanitizing of hands before and after the examination and adhere to social distancing protocols . Candidates were only allowed to enter the examination center after they had followed the Covid-19 rules. The teachers distributed the examination admission tickets and guided the Candidates to fill in the necessary information required for the examination.

The acquisition of HSK and HSKK Examination Certificates increase students’ chances of getting scholarships to study in China and also apply for jobs. The Institute will continue to improve the examination process and system, and further enhance the efficiency of examination services.
