Associate Professor Zhou Guiping, the new Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at University of Cape Coast , officially assumed office on 28th November, 2020.

Chinese Director Zhou Guiping, was accompanied by the Ghanaian Director of the Confucius Institute at University of Cape Coast, Prof. Ishmael Mensah, to visit the Confucius Institute at UCC, the Vice-Chancellor of University of Cape Coast, the College of Humanities and Legal Studies, the Faculty of Arts and the Takoradi Technical University.  

Relocating to Ghana, Director Zhou still joined the interview panel to conduct online interviews for three new Chinese teachers, while she was transiting at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport.

Upon her arrival, she met with all the staff of the Confucius Institute (including the National service personnel working at the Institute). She also visited various departments and Chinese teaching centers in order to quickly familiarize herself with the work of the Institute so as to be able to ensure the smooth administrating and running of the Confucius Institute at University of Cape Coast.
