Professor Ishmael Mensah – Ghana Director 

Prof. Ishmael Mensah is a Professor of tourism and hospitality management and Ghana Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast. He holds a Ph.D. Tourism degree from the same university and is a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) by the American Hotel and Lodging Association as well as a Member of the Institute of Hospitality (MIH). Prof. Mensah also holds post-graduate certificates in Hospitality Administration as well as Event Planning & Tradeshow Management from Georgia State University where he was a fellow under the Ghana Tourism Capacity Development Initiative. He has published widely in high-ranking academic journals in the areas of environmental management in hotels, special events management, service quality and community-based tourism development.

Professor Ou Yamei -China Director 

 

Mr. Yu Zhen – Chinese Teacher

Holds a degree of Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of other Languages, has been to Cape Verde and Panama for Chinese language teaching. Since March 2021, he has been teaching HSK series courses and Chinese department courses in Confucius Institute, and responsible for HSK, YCT and wechat official accounts of Confucius Institute.

 

Mr. Tu Santang – Chinese Teacher

Lecturer, Master of Comparative Literature and World Literature, has engaged in teaching Chinese as a foreign language for many years, and has rich experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. He is now in charge of teaching in West End International School.

 

 

Jia Dongzi – Chinese Teacher

Teaching Assistant, holds a Master degree in Botany. He was a teacher at the Confucius Institute at the University of Ghana. Since March 2022, he has been working at the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast, teaching HSK series and Chinese language courses. He is in charge of activities of Confucius Institute.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jiang Peiyun – Chinese Teacher

She is in charge of scholarships at the institute and is also a special assistant to the Chinese director

 

 

 

 

Adegah Charles Delali – Local teacher

Lecturer, holds a master degree of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL). Since September 2019, he has been teaching HSK series courses and Chinese department courses in Confucius Institute of the University of Cape Coast, and the head of administrative work of Confucius Institute and also in charge of the Confucius classroom at University Practice Senior High School.

 

 

 

 

 

Awudzah Anastasia Emefa – Local teacher

Holds a Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) Have been teaching at the primary school and Department of Chinese at the Confucius Institute of University of Cape Coast in Ghana since September 2019. She is responsible for Chinese learning and teaching activities at the University Primary School main and annex.

 

 

 

 

 

Adelaide Safoa Kissi – Local teacher 

Adelaide Safoa Kissi, Chinese name Hongye, Holds a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Shandong University. Have been working as a local teacher at Confucius Institute of Cape Coast University since October 2020 and is responsible for teaching HSK1 lessons and YCT1 lessons in primary schools. She is also responsible for News items at the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast.

 

Danso-Amoako Bridget – Local teacher 

Holds a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speaker’s of other Languages. Since October 2020, I have been working as a local teacher at Confucius Institute of Cape Coast University, mainly responsible for teaching YCT1 and HSK1.

 

 

 

Dr. Isaac Ibrahim – Overseas volunteer teacher

Li Bai, overseas volunteer teacher. Dr. Isaac Ibrahim graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and majored in international business. In January 2022, he returned to Ghana and worked as an overseas volunteer teacher at Confucius Institute of Cape Coast University. He is teaches YCT1, HSK 1 and Business Communication at the institute.His lessons are humourus and interesting. Most students love him.He is also the Assistant Patron of the Chinese Student Association at the Institute.

 

 

 

 

Owusuwah Grace Mawusi – Overseas volunteer teacher

Penuel International School佩恩尼尔国际学校教学工作
Owusuwah Grace Mawusi graduated from the University of Ghana in 2020and majored in Linguistics and Chinese . In January 2022, she began to work at the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast. She is responsible for the Chinese teaching at Confucius teaching center Penuel International School.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Abubakar Ali – Overseas volunteer teacher

University(TTU)塔克拉底技术大学教学工作。
Ali, Abubakar Ali is an Overseas volunteer teacher who majored in Marketing. He studied Chinese at Confucius Institute, University of Cape Coast from 2018 to 2021, passed HSK level 5, and began to work as an overseas volunteer teacher in January 2022, teaching at YCT1 and HSK1 levels. He is responsible for Chinese teaching activities at the Takoradi Technical University.

 

 

 

 

 

Akwasi Poku Adu – Overseas volunteer teacher

Yang Guang, Akwasi Poku Adu is an overseas volunteer teacher with a degree in Computer Science. He is an outstanding Graduate of Confucius Institute and has been working as an overseas volunteer teacher since January 2022, serving as YCT1 and HSK1 teacher.

 

 

 

 

James Opoku-Darko – Assistant lecturer
James Opoku-Darko holds a Ph.D. in Sustainable Development Management of Jiangxi Agriculture and Chinese Forestry, a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Jiangxi Normal University, and a faculty member in the Department of Chinese at University of Cape Coast.
