0n November 26, 2021, the award ceremony for the 2021 “Best. Confucius Institute” short video event was successfully organized online by the China International Chinese Language Education Foundation.

The Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast submitted a total of 21 different types of short videos. Students from the Institute exhibited their fluency in the Chinese language through short videos with various performances in Chinese songs, dances, martial arts, idiomatic stories, Chinese characters, interviews and keynote speeches on their learning achievements and love for Chinese culture.

At the event, a total number of 100 performances for the “Best Confucius Institute” short videos were shortlisted from nearly 500 pieces of art and announced.

In the end, after a careful review and fierce voting, Joseph Odame’s idioms on “Changed by the Epidemic”, Rafat Ibrahim’s “Introduction to Cape Coast Technical University”, Ali and William Zhao’s “My Chinese Learning Road” won the Excellence Award.

Wisdom Quarshie’s “Introduction to Kakum National Park” won the third prize, and the institute won the Outstanding Organization Award.
