Ghana Association of Chinese Societies Donates Two Sets of Chinese Lion Dance Apparels to Confucius Institute at UCC During the Launch of Chery Automobile in Ghana.

On the 20th December, 2020, the China Director and some of the Chinese teachers of Confucius Institute at University of Cape Coast (CIUCC) were invited to participate in the launch of Chery Automobile in Ghana.

At the ceremony, the China Director of CIUCC, Ms. Zhou Guiping delivered a passionate speech,congratulating Chery Automobile for its grand opening in Ghana. She told all present at the ceremony thatConfucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast was not only established to promote the development of cultural exchanges, but also to promote economic and trade cooperation between China and Ghana.

With some of the Chinese teachers serving as masters of ceremonies (MC), ushers, Chinese lion dance performers, the launching ceremony of Chery Automobile was a success.

After the ceremony, Mr. Tang Hong and Mr Yan Liquan, of Ghana Association of Chinese Societies presented two sets of Chinese lion dance apparels to CIUCC. The China director assured them that, the Chinese lion dance apparels, will be used by the Institute to train more students to be able to perform the Chinese lion dance, thereby enriching the cultural brand of the Confucius Institute.

The cooperation between the Ghana Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Chinese-funded enterprises and the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast will further enhance the promotion of the Chinese culture by the Confucius Institute in Ghana and the rest of the world.
