The Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast (CIUCC), on the 5th of December 2021, successfully organised HSK Examinations for the year 2021. Seventy-eight candidates participated in HSK levels 1 to 5 Examinations. In its quest to ensure that the examination was successful, the Confucius Institute prepared adequately before, during, and after the examination. The Institute also organised tutorials and mock exams for the students prior to the exams in order to help them attain good examination scores.
To ensure the safety of students, the Confucius Institute put in place some measures to help prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 during the exams. Thus, all staff of CIUCC and students adhered strictly to COVID-19 rules and regulations. Candidates were allowed to enter the examination centre only after they had followed the Covid-19 rules. The teachers distributed the examination admission tickets and guided the candidates to fill in the necessary information required for the examination.
During the examination, the two Directors of the institute, Professor Ou Yamei, the China Director and Professor Ishmael Mensah, the Ghana Director, visited the examination Centre to observe the examination process.
The acquisition of HSK Examination certificates increase studentsβ chances of getting scholarships to study in China and also apply for jobs. The Institute will continue to improve the examination process and system, and further enhance the efficiency and quality of its examinations.
