In the first quarter of 2021, Hanban, China donated a consignment of teaching materials including; Chinese textbooks, workbooks, storybooks and other item to the Confucius institute at University of Cape Coast and three other Confucius classrooms. The main purpose of this donation was to facilitate the teaching and learning of Chinese language in these institutions.
On Tuesday, 27th April, 2021 the Directors and some staff of (CIUCC) donated some of the books and other teaching materials to one of its Confucius classrooms at Penuel International school(Kasoa). The donation was done by Mr. Robert Mawumor Lewis and Mr. Wang Puxiang to the Headmaster of the school Mr. Alex Lavoe.

Soon after, the University Primary School in UCC another Confucius classroom, also took their share of the teaching materials donated by Hanban, China. The Ghana director of CIUCC, Prof. Ishmael Mensah and the Acting China Director, Ms. Li Yinbo presented the books to the headmistress of the school on behalf of Hanban.

Lastly the University Practice Senior High school, took their share of the books which were presented by the Ghana director of CIUCC, Prof. Ishmael Mensah and the Acting China Director, Ms. Li Yinbo to the headmaster, Mr. Charles Adjepong Boamah.
